At Second Mile Haiti’s Malnutrition Treatment Centers, mothers face the daily challenge of caring for their severely malnourished children. Many of these mothers carry not only the burden of their child’s illness but also unexpressed emotions and untold stories. Art therapy offers them a unique avenue to release, express, and heal.
By donating to the Art Therapy Supplies Gift, you provide mothers with essential art materials – paints, brushes, canvases, and sketchbooks. These tools become their voice, enabling them to articulate their journey through colors and shapes.
For just $40, you can empower 5 mothers to embark on this transformative journey.

Art Therapy in Action
Earlier this year, Emma donated supplies to help launch Art Therapy sessions, led by the psychologists at Second Mile Haiti. Emma’s donation, we purchased an array of materials – watercolors, acrylics, brushes, canvases, and sketchbooks – everything needed for the art therapy sessions at the Treatment Center.
Marie, a mother at the center, was one of the first mother’s to benefit from Emma’s donation. Having never held a paintbrush before, she was hesitant at first. But as she began to paint, Marie found a sense of peace and joy she hadn’t experienced in years.
Within weeks, she was creating beautiful artwork, expressing her journey and emotions. The transformation was remarkable. Her confidence soared, and the stress of her daily struggles eased.
Marie’s artwork became a source of inspiration for other mothers in the center, fostering a supportive and creative community.
Emma didn’t just supply materials; she opened up a safe space for healing and empowerment.
Marie often shares how art therapy has changed her perspective, giving her a new way of coping and a sense of accomplishment.
Your donation can continue this ripple effect, bringing color and hope to the lives of many more mothers like Marie.
