Toys in Action
In 2021, Jacob made a heartfelt donation towards play and development toys.
With his contribution, we were able to purchase a wide range of toys tailored for different ages and developmental stages. These included sensory balls, building blocks, puzzles, and soft, colorful toys, all designed to stimulate growth and healing.
One of the first children to benefit from Jacob’s gift was Amelie, a four-year-old girl recovering from severe malnutrition. Initially, Amelie was withdrawn and had limited interaction with her surroundings. However, when introduced to the new toys, you could see that a spark had ignited somewhere inside.
Day by day, Amelie began to engage more with the toys. Her fine motor skills improved as she played with the building blocks, and puzzles helped enhance her problem-solving abilities. The toys not only aided her physical recovery but also created moments of connection between Amelie and her deeply worried mother. Her mother, who had been so concerned about Amelie’s withdrawn nature during her illness, was now overjoyed to see her play!
Jacob’s donation made a tangible difference in the lives of Amelie and many other children at the center. It went beyond providing playthings; it offered a pathway to recovery and normal childhood experiences.
Your donation can continue this impact, bringing joy and developmental support to more children like Amelie. Let’s give them the gift of play, an essential part of their journey to health and happiness.
